 Description

The Malromur corpus is an open-source corpus of Icelandic voice samples. The Almannarómur project was performed during the years 2011 and 2012. Under the auspices of Google work was performed at that time to collect voice samples for various languages in order to develop speech recognition and make the data available for research and the development of language technology tools. The goal of the Almannarómur project was to develop a database of spoken sentences to aid the development of automatic speech recognition for Icelandic. The database can also be used in the development of many other types of spoken language technologies. [ICELANDIC] Málrómur er opið safn íslenskra raddsýna. Almannarómsverkefnið var unnið á árunum 2011 til 2012. Á vegum fyrirtækisins Google var þá unnið við að safna talmáli fyrir ýmis tungumál til þess að þróa talgreina og gera gögnin opin og aðgengileg fyrir rannsóknir og gerð máltæknitóla. Markmið Almannarómsverkefnisins var að búa til gagnasafn með töluðum setningum til þess að nota við þróun talgreiningar fyrir íslensku. En gagnasafnið má nota fyrir gerð margvíslegra máltæknitóla þar sem tal kemur við sögu.
